Filefish - Acreichthys tomentosus
Also called the Bristletail Filefish or Matted Leatherjacket, this peaceful fish has a mottled green, brown, and tan body. It’s best kept in a 30+ gallon aquarium without small invertebrates.
Known for its ability to eat Aiptasia anemones, it may also nip at corals. Feed several times daily with a mix of shaved shrimp, squid, scallop, mysis shrimp, freeze-dried krill, and frozen marine algae.
Males are typically larger with fine bristle-like hairs near the tail.
