Flagfin Angelfish - Apolemichthys trimaculatus
Also known as the Threespot Angelfish, the Flagfin has a bright yellow body, blue lips and a dark spot along the dorsal fin. It should be kept in a mature aquarium of at least 125 gallons with plenty of live rock and hiding places.
Flagfin Angels can be shy at first and may take some time to settle in. They are not considered reef safe and may nip at corals, clams and other invertebrates.
This fish can be difficult to get eating, so it is best suited for an experienced hobbyist. Offer sponge-based angelfish food, mysis shrimp, enriched brine shrimp and marine algae several times a day.
