Oatey Clear Primer is a professional grade primer designed to prepare PVC and CPVC pipe and fittings before solvent cementing. It removes surface dirt, grease and grime while softening the pipe surface to help create a fast, secure solvent welded connection.
The clear formula is ideal when you want a clean finished appearance without the visible staining associated with purple primers. It can be used with all schedules and classes of PVC and CPVC pipe and fittings.
For aquarium plumbing applications, Oatey Clear Primer is an excellent choice when assembling PVC plumbing for sumps, return lines, overflow systems, filtration systems and other permanent PVC connections when used with an appropriate PVC solvent cement.
