Custom Aquarium Cost Estimator

Build your aquarium

Change anything below and the glass, the safety factors and the price all update together.

Every tank we build is engineered to a safety factor of 3.8. That means each panel is specified to withstand roughly 3.8 times the water pressure it will actually see in service. This is the long-standing benchmark for glass aquariums, and it leaves enough headroom to cover normal variation in glass strength.

You'll see a live safety factor on every glass option below. Green clears 3.8. Red doesn't, and we won't build it. Thicker glass or extra bracing will usually get you there.

Bracing shortens the unsupported span across the front and back, which is usually what decides whether a thinner glass will pass.

This tool is an estimator, not a quote. It gives you a realistic range so you can compare options and budget, nothing more. No price shown here is an offer and none of it is binding on either of us.

Panel sizes, glass thicknesses, bracing and safety factors shown here are calculated from general engineering tables and standard assumptions about how the tank will be built and installed. Your build may differ. We will confirm the real specification, the real cut list and the real price once you engage us, working from your drawings, your site, your stand and your intended use.

Glass prices move with our supplier and with the market, so a figure you see today may not hold. Anything you receive from this page stays an estimate until we put a written quote in front of you.
