Blue Linckia Starfish - Linckia laevigata

The Blue Linckia Starfish is one of the most striking and recognizable sea stars, prized for its brilliant blue coloration and smooth, elongated arms. Native to the Indo-Pacific, it makes a stunning addition to a peaceful reef aquarium.

It thrives in well-established aquariums of 75 gallons or larger with plenty of live rock for grazing. Sensitive to changes in water parameters, it should only be introduced to stable, mature systems.

The Blue Linckia feeds on film algae, bacterial biofilm, and detritus found on rock surfaces. Supplemental feeding with small pieces of clam, shrimp, or other meaty marine foods may help support long-term health.
