Kole Yellow Eye Tang - Ctenochaetus strigosus
The Kole Yellow Eye Tang has a brown body covered in fine blue lines, small blue spots across the face and a bright yellow ring around each eye. It should be kept in an established aquarium of at least 70 gallons with plenty of live rock and open swimming space.
This tang spends much of the day grazing on algae and film from the rockwork and glass. It is generally peaceful with other fish but may become territorial with other tangs, especially those with a similar shape.
Offer dried seaweed, spirulina and other algae-based foods regularly. A mature aquarium with natural algae growth will help keep it healthy and active.
