Lined Seahorse - Captive-Bred - Hippocampus erectus
The Lined Seahorse is a large, colorful species often considered one of the most stunning seahorses in the hobby. Captive-bred individuals display shades of black, gray, or brown, with colors that can shift depending on their surroundings.
Best kept in a 30+ gallon species-only tank, ideally tall (16" or more), with gentle flow and peaceful tank mates like gobies and firefish. They thrive in pairs or small groups.
These seahorses are slow, deliberate feeders and should be offered frozen mysis shrimp, amphipods, and vitamin-enriched brine shrimp 2+ times daily.
