Support calcium and alkalinity demand in a growing reef with the Seatorch SM-40X Gen 2 calcium reactor. CO2 lowers the pH inside the reactor to dissolve calcium-based media, producing an effluent that replenishes minerals used by corals and other calcifying organisms.

Plan for a suitable CO2 cylinder, regulator with solenoid, calcium reactor media and pH monitoring or control. These items are separate from the reactor unless expressly stated. Tune effluent and CO2 gradually while testing aquarium alkalinity.
